How to upload to Google Cloud Storage faster by multithreading

The gsutil -m (multithreading/multiprocessing) option speeds up transfers by running them in parallel.

gsutil -m cp file-pattern dest-bucket

for example:

gsutil -m cp /usr/my.cnf gs://i88-ca-backup/my.5.6.cnf

You can tune the parallelism used by gsutil -m via the parallel_thread_count and parallel_process_count variables in your $HOME/.boto file.
